It is with great pleasure to announce Ben Darnell as Angel Hawk's Chief Technology Officer. Ben began working at Angel Hawk in the Fall of 2020 in the position of Drone Pilot. He oversaw the company's contracts in Colorado Springs, CO where he trained and lead one Drone Pilot Intern. Ben possesses the technical skills, experience, and vision to make direct contributions to the company’s future success through overseeing technology initiatives.
Ben is an FAA rated Drone Pilot, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University, and has over 6 years of experience in UAV design and testing. In addition to flying commercially, Ben also enjoys flying his FPV racing drones over mountain tops.
In his free time, he enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, bowling, 3D printing, building electric vehicles, model trains, flying more drones, podcasts, and learning new things through YouTube.
Fun Fact: Ben hopes to soon become a paramotor pilot, and one day, get his Private Pilot license.
