Angel Hawk Supports Lacrosse on Long Island, NY

Some of the country’s premier high school lacrosse players faced off against one another during the Juniors Open at Stony Brook University on Long Island, New York, June 19 - 20, 2021. Throughout the lacrosse camp, Angel Hawk pilots carefully and skillfully flew Mavic 2 Zoom drones capturing the fast-paced action of 26 total games. Drone footage at 70 feet above the playing field provided unparalleled aerial video of each offensive score, defensive stop, and quick transition. The film was then made viewable on a hosting website made specifically for Lacrosse, ScoreBreak. ScoreBreak allows the tagging of players and plays to make it a seamless process for coaches, players, and recruiters to review film.

The event marked one of Angel Hawk’s first contracts out of state. Collin Caffrey, President and Founder of Angel Hawk, stated, “The Mavic 2 Zoom delivers the aerial advantage coaches, recruiters, and players are looking for.” Collin emphasized, “Regardless of location, Angel Hawk handles all the necessary authorizations and permissions at the local, state, and federal level for conducting drone operations.”

Angel Hawk was first established in 2017 with a focus on supporting search and rescue

operations. This type of work, while meaningful, provided little predictability and much uncertainty. The company found its true niche a few years later conducting drone operations for athletic events. To date, Angel Hawk films aerial videography for a variety of sports including football, lacrosse, and nordic skiing.
